The EBSNS contributed to the purchase of an extensive family archive, which documents Bishop's Nova Scotia childhood and is housed at Acadia University, Wolfville, N.S.
In 1996 the Society published Elizabeth Bishop: An Archival Guide to Her Life in Nova Scotia, by Sandra Barry, documenting Bishop and Bishop-related records in Nova Scotia.
